Neighborhood Vandalism
Posted on Jun 11th, 2011

Many of you have asked why we have had a sign by the guardhouse regarding vandalism. This was due to two separate occurrences near the guardhouse – the removal and destruction of several flowering plants, and the remnants of a paintball fight in the same general area. Every year, we have a spike in vandalism as soon as school is out for the summer. It’s important that all of our community members, old and young, feel connected and a part of the community. If you have children, please talk to them about vandalism, and the financial consequences of pranks. Kids might not realize that the flowers that were pulled were worth almost $50, and the money for replacing these flowers comes from homeowner dues.
